Attic insulation
built for the Valley.

Your attic is the #1 source of heat gain in a Rio Grande Valley home. We seal it with spray foam encapsulation or attic-floor foam — the single highest-ROI energy upgrade most Valley homes can make.

Where the heat gets in.

In the Rio Grande Valley, the attic is where summer wins or loses. An uninsulated RGV attic can hit 130–150°F on a July afternoon — and that heat radiates straight down into your living space and into the AC ductwork running through it. Sealing the attic correctly is the single highest-impact energy improvement most Valley homes can make.

Premium Foam, the spray foam division of CCL Contracting, handles attics two ways: encapsulation — spraying foam along the underside of the roof deck to bring the whole attic inside your home's thermal envelope — or attic-floor foam, sealing the ceiling plane below. We help you choose based on whether your ductwork and equipment live in the attic.

Where old fiberglass has settled, soaked up humidity, and lost its R-value, we remove it first, then install foam that holds its performance for the life of the home.

Built for RGV attics.

Extreme attic heat. RGV attics routinely exceed 130°F in summer. Encapsulation can drop attic temperatures by 30–50°F, taking a massive load off your AC.

Ductwork in the attic. Most Valley homes run AC ducts through the attic. Encapsulating the roofline brings those ducts into conditioned space — one of the biggest efficiency gains available.

20–40% lower cooling bills. Most RGV homes see cooling costs drop 20–40% after attic foam, with the difference showing up on the very next electric bill.

Four steps.

1 · Free attic inspection. We inspect your attic, ductwork, and existing insulation and recommend encapsulation or floor foam.

2 · Scope & estimate. Foam type, depth, and any removal scoped with an itemized written estimate.

3 · Removal & install. Old insulation removed if needed, then foam applied cleanly — most attics done in 1–2 days.

4 · Walkthrough & warranty. We confirm coverage and air-sealing together and deliver warranty paperwork.

Attic questions.

How much does attic insulation cost in the RGV?
Attic spray foam in the Rio Grande Valley typically runs $3,000–$9,000 depending on attic size, foam type, and whether old insulation needs removal. Encapsulation costs more than attic-floor foam but delivers bigger savings when ductwork is in the attic. A free assessment gives an exact number.
What is attic encapsulation, and do I need it?
Encapsulation sprays foam along the underside of the roof deck, bringing the whole attic inside your home's conditioned envelope. It's the best choice when your AC ducts or air handler are in the attic — which is most RGV homes. If not, attic-floor foam may be enough.
Will attic foam really lower my AC bill?
Yes — significantly. RGV attics hit 130–150°F, and that heat drives your cooling load. Most homes see 20–40% lower cooling costs after attic foam, usually visible on the next bill.
Do you remove the old insulation first?
If your existing fiberglass has settled, gotten wet, or lost R-value, we remove it before installing foam. Some attics can be foamed over existing material — our assessment determines what's right.
How long does an attic job take?
Most RGV attics are completed in 1–2 days. Larger homes or jobs requiring removal can take longer. We schedule around you.
¿Hacen aislamiento de áticos? ¿Hablan español?
Sí. Aislamos y encapsulamos áticos en todo el Valle con equipo bilingüe. Llámenos al (956) 463-4117 o (956) 492-9451.
Open-cell or closed-cell in the attic?
Both work at the roofline; the right choice depends on your roof assembly, moisture, and budget. Open-cell is common for attic encapsulation in the RGV; closed-cell adds moisture resistance and structural strength. We recommend based on your home.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. CCL Contracting is licensed in Texas and carries general liability and workers' comp on every job. Premium Foam operates under CCL's licensing across the RGV.
